Archisoul are very proud to have attained DA approval for a 650m2 home situated in a stunning waterfront location in Seaforth.
The site has a unique secluded outlook across Middle Harbour towards the Explosive Reserve and Sugar Loaf Bay. It also presented many challenges in the design process, such as being a Bushfire Flame Zone and ecological habitat for threatened species with steep topography.
The clients brief was for a large family home, which could also accommodate frequent visits from family and friends based overseas, that provided generous spaces for family interaction.
Archisoul’s response was to create a two-winged design centred on the double height entrance lobby, feature staircase and swimming pool to draw attention to the incredible views. The living rooms connect seamlessly to the outdoor spaces and pool to provide a focal point for family life and relaxation.
Although the views face mainly south, sunlight is drawn into the rooms through high level windows on the north side. This orientation helps to naturally ventilate the spaces utilising the summer breezes.
