Class 2
Architecture Projects

Class 2 is a category of residential building comprising multi-storey, multi-unit apartment buildings and mixed-use buildings (shops and apartments). In 2020, the NSW Design and Building Practitioners Act came into effect, introducing new regulations for Class 2 buildings. Amongst these is a requirement for all professionals with design and construction responsibility for Class 2 building projects to be appropriately qualified and registered. This applies to the construction of new buildings as well as renovation and remediation works on existing buildings and units.

Archisoul director Jo Gillies is both a registered architect and a registered Principal Design Practitioner.
