When the clients approached us to modernise their dated home in Curl Curl, it was a study in unrealised potential. Its original ill-considered design had a disjointed floor plan with poor flow and little light penetration. The home lacked privacy and its awkward layout failed to capitalise on the site’s stunning views.
A thorough overhaul was required. Archisoul’s design response streamlined the house to produce better airflow, and reoriented its aspect to maximise ocean views and natural light as well as enhance privacy.
The new design is a huge improvement. With a completely reworked layout, the home now enjoys expansive ocean and district views from the top floor. Skylights, extensive glazing and a void draw light into the heart of the home while also providing an unimpeded visual connection to the garden and swimming pool.
Archisoul’s design has revitalised this previously dark and tired Curl Curl cottage, recreating it as a contemporary oasis for the family of five to grow and flourish in.
