Agnes Water – Green Turtle Terraces

Green Turtle terraces are located in the township of Seventeen Seventy in Queensland.

The design takes a unique approach to cluster town housing, incorporating maximum solar penetration and capturing the breeze to provide cross ventilation.

The central courtyard enfolds the swimming pool, BBQ and sunchairs to encourage social interaction between residents in a relaxed atmosphere. Privacy screens and blade walls ensure the privacy of each unit while communal areas foster a sense of community spirit between neighbours.

The design concept is inspired by the green turtles found on the Great Barrier Reef, whose hydrodynamic shells lend them a steamlined sense of grace perfectly attuned to their environment.
