Our Principal Architect and Founder Jo Gillies was invited to present an introductory workshop on Sacred Geometry by Permaculture Northern Beaches (PNB), a local group of Permaculture Sydney North.
In the presentation, Sacred Geometry is defined as the blueprint of the natural world. It is an ancient science that explores and explains energy patterns that create and unify all things and reveals the precise way that the energy of the Universe organize itself. On every scale, every natural pattern of growth or movement conforms inevitably to one or more geometric shapes.
Permaculture is characterised as working with, rather than against, nature and most of its design principles are taken from nature.
The workshop focuses not on educating anyone on what they already know about Permaculture but rather on the unseen meeting the seen. The ‘edge’ effect of when Permaculture intersects with Sacred Geometry. The whole idea was for the participants to open up their hearts and minds to the endless possibilities of Sacred Geometry and how it can be applied in the home and garden, even to life and other interests.
Within the two and a half hour workshop Jo gave an introduction and overview into the fascinating world of Sacred Geometry.
